Star Wars Costume Spotlight: Obi-Wan Kenobi (Ben Kenobi)
Today’s costume spotlight will be of the great Jedi Knight, Obi-Wan Kenobi (referred to as Ben Kenobi by Luke from A New Hope).
After the fall of the old Republic and the rise of the Empire, Obi-Wan went into exile on Tatooine to watch over Luke in hopes of training him to becoming a Jedi (though Uncle Owen didn’t want him to). Obi-Wan was shown to be living in a small hut that was at the edge of the dune sea.
You’ll also remember that during the Lightsaber duel on the Death Star, Obi-Wan made a sacrifice of himself in order to inspire Luke to become a great Jedi like his father before him.

In this close up you can see the dirty spots on the robes indicating that they haven’t been washed in years. Also the robes are falling apart because of the holes and the tatters that are along the edges:
In this close up of the belt you can see that the belt buckle is rusted. The clip that Obi-Wan uses to carry his lightsaber is a bit rusted as well:
In this close up of the bottom of the robe you can see a hole near the edge:
From the looks of the costume Obi-Wan hasn’t replaced his clothing since he has been living in exile on Tatooine.
