New TV special will feature Harrison Ford unveiling the plans for Disney’s Star Wars theme parks
Details about the new Star Wars parks at Disneyworld and Disneyland will be revealed by Harrison Ford in a ABC TV special February 21st, reports EntertainmentWeekly.com! The TV special will be a celebration of the Disney theme parks’ 60th anniversary.
Disney plans to expand 14-acre Star Wars additions for the theme parks located in Anaheim and Orlando.
According to the article:
Among the attractions will be a cantina, like the one seen in 1977’s original Star Wars, with familiar creatures from various parts of the series. It will also include a ride that allows guests to take the controls of Han Solo’s starship freighter the Millennium Falcon as it swoops into the center of an aerial battle between the First Order and the Resistance – the new film’s version of the Empire and the Rebellion.
