This Tactical HUD – Animated Digital Display makes a perfect addition to an existing Star Wars room project or as a stand-alone piece. I start with a commercially-available 8-inch digital photo frame and outfit it with greeblies to give it a Star Wars control panel look. I then finish it off with some light weathering. (A non-weathered option is also available)

The digital photo frame includes up to 4G of internal storage to contain and display digital photos and videos. I’ve preloaded seven videos, consisting of approximately 6 minutes of original animated tactical HUD graphics, that I designed to play automatically when powered up and play in a continuous loop.

This includes a HUD maps animated screen, a ship system’s status and diagnostics screen, a radar screen that detects two approaching ships, a planetary ship traffic screen, and the latest addition is a communications terminal.

I’ve also included a 30-second bonus video that I’m keeping as a surprise. You will have to buy the product to see it. The videos include familiar Star Wars cockpit sound effects to complete the presentation. Over 3G of additional storage is available for you to load additional images and videos, if you choose.
