New Vader helmets made from original movie mold

Theforce.net reports the eFX company is releasing two new Darth Vader replica helmets made from the original movie helmet molds. They’ll be shipping sometime in April or May!

The price for the first Vader Helmet (special edition) will cost $329 while the second one (which is standard edition) will cost $299.

Here are a few details:

These new helmets were derived from castings made from the Rick Baker mold which was taken directly off the screen-used ANH helmet.

Those castings were 3-d scanned and from there injection mold tooling was made.

They are incredibly durable but super lightweight compared to a fiberglass helmet.
