Rumor: The Anthology of Han Solo
Rumor: The Anthology of Han Solo Yesterday Hollywoodreporter.com reported news of another Star Wars Anthology. This will feature the origins of Han Solo, from a smuggler in A New Hope and then a Rebel General in The Return of the Jedi: Hollywood Reporter’s story: When Christopher Miller was an intern at Lucasfilm, he was asked (and geekily accepted) to step into a Stormtrooper costume for one of George Lucas’ Special Edition Star Wars movies. Now, in a paraphrasing of Darth Vader’s immortal words, a circle is about to be complete. Miller and his partner Phil Lord, the duo behind The Lego Movie and the hit Jump Street films, are tackling one of the Star Wars anthology projects as their next directing vehicle, sources tell The Hollywood Reporter. The filmmaker team, who write, direct and produce, are stepping up to helm a movie that will focus on a young Han Solo, according to sources. Lawrence Kasdan and Jon Kasdan are writing the script with the project, now set for a May 25, 2018, release. The new film is not the same as the one that was to have been directed by Josh Trank. Trank parted ways with the project in May amid a cloud of issues stemming from his Fantastic Four shoot. That film, rumored to be an origin story of the intergalactic bounty hunter Boba Fett, is still searching for a director. Disney and Lucasfilm had no comment. Unclear is how their commitment to the Han Solo origin story will impact Lord and Miller’s schedule. The duo became a hot property following their witty take on the buddy cop genre with 21 Jump Street, and hotter still with 2014’s Lego Movie, which included a spectrum of geek icons from...
Two R2-D2 builders club members working on Rogue One
Two R2-D2 builders club members working on Rogue One On Starwars7news.com, the site features two Star Wars fans and members of the R2-D2 Builders Club who’ve turned their hobby into jobs with Lucasfilm. Oliver Steeples and Lee Towersey, now members of the Creature Effects team for The Force Awakens, will also use their robot-building for the new Star Wars Anthology: Rogue One movie. Here’s an article on the two from Entertainment Weekly. Many Star Wars fans have build their own R2-D2s, but only two turned the hobby into a job on TFA. In 2013 Oliver Steeples attended SWCE, where he met Lucasfilm head Kathleen Kennedy and “cheekly” told her that he was available if she ever needed an R2-D2. Six months later Steeples got the call from LFL, and he drafted his friend Lee Towersey, whom he knew through the R2-builders community, to help him out. “I still have to pinch myself,” says Towersey, who says he is currently working on Star Wars Anthology: Rogue One. Although the article confirms Oliver and Lee are working on the new Star Wars Anthology: Rogue One, there’s no word if R2-D2 is or isn’t going to appear in that movie. I would also like to give Oliver and Lee some credit on the work they do because they’re not only responsible for the making of R2-D2 (my favorite blue colored droid), but also several other new kinds of astromech droids (except for BB-8 who is currently being worked on by another team) that I have never seen before. Sample of some of the new...

Real life Mandalorian Land Speeder!
Real life Mandalorian Land Speeder! On Starwars.com, there’s an interesting story about one Star Wars fan who has made a fully operational Mandalorian Land Speeder—from concept to reality! Photo of the land speeder: This is an interesting story about this speeder because it tells about how the project of making this Star Wars vehicle started out by finding some reference data on screen shot images of different speeder models plus Lego versions. The builders use a 1987 golf cart and, with the help of an electrical engineer, take it apart and then modify it into the land speeder chassis. The land speeder even has Wi-Fi! What if Star Wars invaded our cities!
What if Star Wars invaded our cities! On huffingtonpost.com, artist Nicolas Amiard (who is an an art director at an ad agency based in Paris) posted photos that he created of what would happen if our world was invaded by Star Wars. What amazing pictures! London, England: New York City: Venice, Italy: Paris, France: Rio de Janeiro: Tokyo, Japan: Moscow, Russia: San Francisco: I would say that these photos that Nicolas Amiard has made are pretty cool and very well thought out. I like how the photos look so realistic; it makes me think that if a clone star destroyer really crashed near San Francisco it would make a good tourist...
Biographic info on the new Stormtrooper toy
Biographic info on the new Stormtrooper toy Great news! Makingstarwars.net site recently posted some biographic information of the new Stormtrooper toy from the Force Awakens. Black series Stormtrooper toy: On the side of the package of this new Stormtrooper toy is some biographic information that reveals the time and placement of the new Force Awakens First Order Stormtrooper. Spoiler alert! Don’t read this if you want to be surprised by the movie! Shock Troopers clad in white armor first appeared on the Galactic Stage during the opening battles of the Clone Wars. Clone Trooper Armor became iconic almost immediately; Its stark white design stood for hope that peace and stability might be restored to a galaxy at war. But this dream of peace died with the Republic, and the Empire that rose to take its place imposed order by any means necessary. Soldiers within The Grand Army of the Republic were given a new name: Stormtroopers. As these former protectors of galactic peace mercilessly crushed resistance across the galaxy, their white armor came to symbolize oppression and indomitable power of the Emperor’s will. Yet the tyranny of Imperial Rule sparked Rebellion, and the Stormtrooper legions were scattered in the aftermath of the Empire’s fall. Now, the rise of the first order ushers in the next chapter in the Stormtrooper’s legacy as a new era of ruthless brutality begins. This information about the Stormtroopers can explain why a good person like Finn would join up these brutal soldiers of the Empire and then defecting when he sees what the empire is truly about. I do find these new versions of the...
