New Force Awakens Poster/Banner Great news! Makingstarwars.net and Starwars7news.com, have just posted a new international Force Awakens promo poster/banner from Russia! New promo poster/banner of The Force Awakens: Though this is a Russian poster, there are some clues about the movie. On the right side there is Captain Phasma and two stormtroopers. In the middle is Kylo Ren, the new dark Jedi. On the left, we see Finn, Rey, and Chewy. Missing is Han Solo for reasons unknown. Force Awakens actor reveals secrecy around movie script On EW.com, actor Greg Grunberg talks about the secrecy behind the movie script for the Force Awakens. Grunberg, who plays Gorwyn an X-Wing pilot leader, said just imagine that you get a call from a best friend (director J.J. Abrams) that you know saying “’It’s true, I’m doing Star Wars and you can stop begging me, yes, I want you to be in this movie.’ It was a absolute dream come true.” He said that he had been such a fan of all the actors and everything about the Star Wars universe, although he mentioned that some people may not have loved that some of the Star Wars movies they cannot deny how compelling and awesome it was, and that he could’t believe he was now apart of this universe. Grunberg then said that during the filming of the Force Awakens there were some moments when his friend J.J. would yell the word, “Cut”, go over to him and then say “Are you f–king kidding me? Did that just happen? Did I just pan from C-3PO to R2-D2 to Han Solo and then to you?”. He then said that during the seven weeks that he spend in London it was like heaven to him. Grunberg even mentioned that it was also crazy because he said “Usually I’m the first person that J.J. calls to bounce ideas off. This one is so top secret, and so on lockdown, that all I can do is ask him, ‘How’s it going?’ and he’s like, ‘Oh, I’m really happy.’ So I know if he’s happy it’s just gonna be incredible.” Grunberg talked about the secrecy surrounding the Force Awakens. This lego set will be based on Rey’s speeder (she uses it to travel around and collect junk on the planet Jakku). You may have noticed the speeder in the teaser trailer of the Force Awakens. Here is a picture of this new lego item: This new lego item also includes a lego figure of BB-8 which is on the bottom right corner of the picture. This new lego set (with the code name “75099 Lead Hero Craft”) is expected to cost around $20-$25 dollars when it comes out in stores around the world on September 4th, 2015. New and old characters appearing in the Force Awakens Great news! Makingstarwars.net has just posted a first look at new and old characters that are going to appear in the Force Awakens. There is also more of the information about the new and old characters as well on Starwars7news.com. One of the new characters that will be introduced in this movie is the new X-Wing pilot named Gorwyn who fans call this new character the new Wedge Antilles of the new sequel trilogy. Here is a picture of what he looks like: Also rumor has it that a couple of recurring characters will be appearing the Force Awakens as well. One of those recurring characters will be Admiral Ackbar the Calamarian from the planet Mon Calamari who was part of rebel fleet that fought in the war against the Empire in Return of the Jedi. This very exciting that Ackbar and the Calamari are back helping out the rebels again just like the way they helped out the old republic during the clone wars. Here is his picture: The second recurring character that will also make an appearance in the Force Awakens will be Nien Nunb. Boulder toy company inspires new droid BB-8
Boulder toy company inspires new droid BB-8 Boulder, Colorado toy company Sphero helped inspire the tech behind BB-8, a new droid that will appear in The Force Awakens. BB-8 may give R2-D2 and C-3PO a run for their money when it comes to most popular droid. In case you forgot, here is a look at BB-8: Sphero is a Boulder-based tech company that has been making smartphone controlled spherical toy balls (Sphero) for the last four years. You can buy Sphero ($155.18) now on Walmart. So how did Sphero hook up with Disney to work on the Star Wars film? Sphero was part of the Disney Accelerator program, a “highly selective, immersive mentorship and investment program for technology-enabled startups in the media and entertainment space.” At the same time Sphero was in the program, Disney was finishing production on the Force Awakens. While the company hasn’t officially announced a Star Wars tie-in, media reports hint that a BB-8 made by Sphero will be on store shelves by Christmas: Source: CBS Denver. The goal that Sphero has for the apple-sized BB-8s is to make sure that Star Wars fans will be able to take their very own little piece of the Force Awakens universe that they can carry with them.
