New interactive, remote control BB-8 toy debuts at New York Toy Fair Sphero’s BB-8 toy will be getting company soon—a toy company called Spin Master has unveiled a new version of BB-8 but much bigger! This new toy costs $180 (expensive!) but it won’t be hitting toy selves yet until this Fall 2016. According to Spin Master: This BB-8 will be much closer to life size than previous versions, standing at 19-inches tall. It includes a remote control (comparble to a Nintendo Wiimote) with a joystick to control it, but the remote is not absolutely necessary thanks to the fact this BB-8 is voice activated. BB-8 will respond when he hears his name, comes when he’s called and will even follow you when commanded to do so. LEGO had a nice surprise at the recent 2016 London Toy Fair—new sets for both the Force Awakens and Star Wars Rebels, reports Starwarsnewsnet.com.
