Star Wars Costume Spotlight: Palpatine’s Aides This next Star Wars costume spotlight will be of Palpatine’s aides who are named Sly Moore and Mas Amedda. Throughout Attack of the Clones, the Clone Wars series, and Revenge of the Sith these two are seen serving as Palpatine’s (Sidious’s) aides. During the rise of the Empire Mas became Palpatine’s Grand Vizier while Sly became Palpatine’s Chief Adviser. While Mas wears three different Senator robes during the movie series, Sly only wears the same traditional Senator robes with a cape. Star Wars Costume Spotlight: Senator Mon Mothma Today’s Star Wars costume spotlight will be of an important ally who helped Senator Organa spark the Rebellion to go against the Empire: the great Senator Mon Mothma herself. Senator Mothma was first formally part of the Galactic Senate and the Imperial Senate until she spoke out against the Empire and was marked for treason. Then with the help of Senator Organa and other allies, she was able to create the Rebellion in hopes of destroying the Empire and bring back peace to the Galaxy. In Rogue One, she was able to recruit Jyn Erso who led the team of rebels to the planet Scarif to steal the Death Star plans. In episode VI she was seen briefing the Rebel Alliance on the plan of attack to destroy the second Death Star. Star Wars Costume Spotlight: Senator Bail Organa Hey Star Wars fans! For this next costume spotlight, it will be of Leia’s adopted father, the great Senator Bail Organa. Remember, according to Leia, Obi-Wan served Senator Organa during the Clone Wars. During Order 66 Senator Organa went to the Jedi Temple to look for Yoda, but instead he saw thousands of Troops attacking the temple and witnessed the death of a youngling. After he rescued Yoda and Obi-Wan, Bail Organa was then entrusted with adopting Leia when she was born. Senator Organa was also seen in the Star Wars Rebels TV series and in the Rogue One film. During a scene in Rogue One, he mentioned Obi-Wan’s name saying that he will send Leia to Tatooine to fetch him. Then in episode IV he died along with his people when his peaceful home planet Alderaan was destroyed by the Death Star.
