New Disney display explains Kylo Ren’s Crossguard Lightsaber

Digitalspy.com reports that since late last year when the teaser trailer for The Force Awakens came, a lot of fans where puzzled by Kylo Ren’s crossguard lightsaber.

According to a Star Wars fan that spotted the lightsaber in the Star Wars Launch Bay gallery at Disneyland, a description next to the lightsaber explains:

Kylo Ren’s unusual lightsaber is an ancient design, although the one he carries is recently constructed. The crossguard blades, or quillons, are raw power vented from the primary central blade.

From reading this description of Kylo Ren’s lightsaber I’d say that it does make perfect sense! (Here’s a link to my Kylo Ren extendable lightsaber unboxing video.)

Here is a photo of the Lightsaber from the gallery in Disneyland:

Autoevolution.com reports that a Star Wars fan (who remains anonymous) created a life-sized AT-ST two legged imperial walker. According to the site this life-sized replica of this imperial AT-ST walker is made out of timber wood, plastic, and bits of scrap metal.

If you can recall these walkers where used during the battle on the farthest moon of Endor. Plus one of the walkers was commandeered by Chewie and two Ewoks.

Here are some photos of this life-sized imperial walker replica from the front, back, left, and the inside:

BB-8’s origin story: How J.J. Abrams brought this little droid to life?

BB-8 got a start as a sketch on a napkin by Star Wars director J.J. Abrams, according to an article on StarWars.com. And where did the name come from? Well as Abrams explained previously, the name for this new droid came from the sketch’s resemblance to a figure 8.

Here below is a concept art sketch of BB-8:

On Indierevolver.com, the site has revealed some leaked concept art photos of the mysterious group that Kylo Ren works for, the Knights of Ren.

Although I blogged previously that Kylo Ren is not his real name and that he is a member this unknown group. The concept art images of the Knights of Ren, below, make me wonder if they aren’t similar to other groups like the Night Sisters:
