- Our Story begins every winter when the logs are turned into the timber. The entire process, from log to timber, takes 10-12 months. The timber is then placed into steam ovens for 4 days before being left outside for 6-7 months to be exposed to rain, snow, and sun.
- After this long wait, the timber is then placed into a drying oven to reduce the moisture content to 8%. The drying process takes 30-45 days. The timber is then left outside for an additional 3-5 weeks to reach the ideal humidity level of 12%. The final stages include smoothing the surface of the tree and reducing the timber to 8cm thickness.
