New photos of The Force Awakens!

Entertainment Weekly has published new still photos of the characters from The Force Awakens.

These exclusive photos will show some of the characters more clearly than before, as well as other details about the movie sets and scenes.

This first one is a still image of the notorious General Hux, the most clear photo we have to date:

Next is the droid due that we all know and love R2-D2 and C-3PO. Although R2 doesn’t appear to have changed in any way, C-3PO has because of the new (unexplained) red arm:

Next here is a new picture of BB-8 trapped in a net from a scavenger and then is rescued by Rey. Plus who is the strange creature that the scavenger is riding on?

Next is one of Finn the rogue Stormtrooper running from the wreckage of a crashed Tie fighter. Yes we’ve seen him running before, but not from the Tie fighter that he crashed while escaping the Empire:

The last one is the Sith Lord Kylo Ren (who wields the cross guard lightsaber) accompanied by First Order Imperial Sandtroopers:

Makingstarwars.net has posted these spectacular close-up images of the parade grounds of the new ice planet. This part of the new international trailer where all the generals, troops, pilots, etc are gathered for General Hux’s speech. (This larger picture is also on the official Star Wars Twitter feed today).

Though some of these images you will see below are a bit blurry, they give you a clue at what’s going on in the movie.

The first image will be of the new First Order Imperial walkers that look similar to the six legged AT-TE walkers that where used during the Clone Wars:

The next image is General Hux giving a speech that inspires the troops:

Next, we see Captain Phasma, other generals (still unknown), and two Stormtrooper body guards watching and listening to Hux’s speech. One of the generals is rumored to be Andy Serkis (the actor who played Gollum in The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings).

This last image will feature the tie fighters and a new kind of Stormtrooper landing craft transports:

The Star Wars world is buzzing today because of a new international trailer for The Force Awakens. The trailer first aired in Korea.

Here is the video of this new trailer:

Since watching this video it appears to be much revealing than the two teaser trailer videos. For example, the earlier trailers were somewhat dark, which made it tough to see Captain Phasma clearly. Now you get a really good look at her.

New Imperial Walkers, similar to the AT-TE Walkers from the Clone Wars, are also featured in this new trailer. They show a reversed view of the army as well as the platform, surrounded by an icy landscape of mountains (a new planet most likely).

The rest of the trailer is familiar territory.

Ken Leung’s Force Awakens Character has been revealed

Exciting news! Today several Star Wars websites have revealed Ken Leung’s character for The Force Awakens.

Here is a picture of what his character looks like:

Rebel General

I previously blogged about Ken joining The Force Awakens cast and I think this reveal of his character is very exciting.

Here is an interview story with Leung posted recently from a Mexico-based website called Sinembargo.mx (which has been translated by Google):

It is more than an honor [to be in Star Wars], it is like an amusement park for adults, as it is all very magical, as if you were a child, it is rare, something really great and I can not say more than I am there, because everything is so secret, It was just my pages, I could not leave my dressing room because there were planes trying to take pictures of us, a real secret.

The first ‘Star Wars’ was released the year when my brother was born and he died two years ago but he is always with me. I remember the first time I heard they were filming here in Albuquerque and told my agent I need an audition, but nothing happened.

Then, when he got a call that they wanted me to ‘Star Wars’ I thought it was my brother who was answering my request he had made, because I think a lot about it and this is something very special, “he added.

Princess ‘Leia’ was the first love of my brother and I stayed and talked with her, so everything is very special because I never imagined also be part of that.

I am looking forward to seeing The Force Awakens when it hits theaters in December.

On Masterherald.com, directer J.J. Abrams has revealed that Admiral Ackbar, the Rebel commander who’s known for the line “It’s a trap!” from The Return of the Jedi, is going to return in The Force Awakens.

Admiral Ackbar is a squid-like creature called a Calamarian from an aquatic planet called Mon Calamari (also known as Dac).

The 5 best reasons to see The Force Awakens

The 5 best reasons to see The Force Awakens

The 5 best reasons to see The Force Awakens

Today Movieplot.com, gives us their 5 best reasons to see the new Star Wars movie The Force Awakens.

My favorite one of these 5 reasons is the Lightsabers:

Lightsaber duels are back, the force is back and iconic jedi are back. This gives us new heroes and old mentors who help them to see their true potential. I’m so looking forward to this.

This article was a fun read . . .  so here are my reasons to see the Force Awakens.

First, we get to see characters of the original trilogy. And, of course, who could forget the recurring droid characters R2-D2 (my favorite blue Astromech droid) and his friend C-3PO. Yes, they are in every movie, but they always bring the comic relief.

Another reason is the recovery of Anakin’s lightsaber that was thought to be lost forever since the fight between Luke and Vader on the Cloud City.
